Atrovent Spray 2 ml. 20 Nebulizer

WHAT Atrovent N AND WHAT IT IS USED

Ipratropium bromide is a bronchodilator agent.
Atrovent N inhibits the spasm of the bronchial muscles, which are caused by the vagal nerve. Atrovent N acts expanding the airways.
With regular use preventive medicinal product will prevent narrowing of the airways, respectively, spasms of the bronchial muscles. Since the effect is exercised locally in the respiratory tract, and the common local tolerance is good.
Atrovent N is intended for the prevention and treatment of respiratory distress syndrome, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, chronic obstructive bronchitis with or without emphysema, asthma.

2. BEFORE YOU USE Atrovent N
Do not use Atrovent N:
if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to ipratropium bromide or any of the other ingredients of Atrovent N or other derivatives of atropine (anticholinergic substances with a similar structure).
Take special care with Atrovent N:
if you have narrow-angle glaucoma (increased eye pressure) or predisposition to narrow-angle glaucoma, or if you have an enlarged prostate or difficulty urinating must consult a doctor before using Atrovent N;
if you have cystic fibrosis, use of Atrovent N may in some cases lead to gastrointestinal disorders;
in rare cases, after using Atrovent N, may occur hypersensitivity reactions manifested by rash, swelling of the skin and mucous membranes, hives, cramps in the throat and bronchi, swelling of the mouth and pharynx, shock reactions. Contact your doctor immediately if these symptoms occur;
the drug should not get in eyes. If this happens, rinse eyes quickly with cold water;
see a doctor immediately if you experience eye pain or discomfort, blurred vision, visual halos or colored images accompanied by redness of the eyes;

Taking other medicines
Beta-adrenergic and xanthine drugs may enhance the bronchodilatory effect.

Pregnancy and lactation

3. HOW TO USE Atrovent N
Always use Atrovent N exactly as prescribed by your doctor. If you are not sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
The dose should be adjusted to individual patient needs. Unless otherwise prescribed, following dosages are recommended for adults and school-age children:
2 doses (sprays) 4 times daily.
If necessary, dose escalation and achieve additional therapeutic effect, the total daily dose of 12 injections should not be exceeded.

Instructions for use
Proper application of the solution for inhalation is an essential prerequisite for successful therapy.
Before first use of the container containing the solution for inhalation, press 2 times the dosage device.

  2. Breathe deeply.

The amount of liquid in the container can be checked as follows:
Remove the mouthpiece and place the container in a bowl of water. Content can be estimated by monitoring the position of the container in the water (0 = empty, 1/4 = 1/4 full, 1/2 = 1/2 full, 1 = 3/4 or more full).
The mouthpiece should always be kept clean and can be washed with warm water. If using soap or a detergent, the mouthpiece must then be thoroughly rinsed with warm water.

WARNING:
Plastic mouthpiece is for use only with Atrovent N solution pressurized inhalation, ensuring always correct dose. The mouthpiece should never be used with any other metered aerosol. Atrovent N solution pressurized inhalation should never be used with a mouthpiece, in addition to the one which is placed in the package.
Container is under pressure and must not be opened by force or exposed to temperatures exceeding 50 ° C.

Use in children
Children observations are insufficient and Atrovent N solution for inhalation should only be used under medical supervision and under the supervision of an adult.

If you use more than the amount of Atrovent N

4. POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS
Like all drugs, Atrovent N can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
In clinical trials, the most commonly reported nerespiratorni side effects are: gastrointestinal disorders (eg. Constipation, diarrhea and vomiting), dry mouth and headache.

Parallel to this, the following adverse reactions when using Atrovent N: increased heart rate, palpitations, cardiac arrhythmias (supraventricular tachycardia and atrial fibrillation), violation of adaptation of the eye in terms of visual distances, nausea, urinary retention and dizziness . These side effects are reversible. In patients with pre-existing narrowing or blockage of the urinary tract may be increased risk of urinary retention.

There are isolated reports of adverse reactions naochite (eg. Fundus (mydriasis), increased intraocular pressure, narrow-angle glaucoma, eye pain) when hitting the medicinal product in the eyes as a result of improper use. Symptoms of acute narrow-angle glaucoma can be eye pain or discomfort, blurred vision, visual halos or colored images accompanied by redness of the eyes. If you develop any combination of these symptoms should begin therapy with shrinking pupil (miotic) drops and immediately contact a doctor.

5. HOW TO STORE Atrovent N
Keep out of the reach and sight of children.
Do not store above 25 ° C.
